VOTE FOR DAVID! You just watched his audition above!
The entertainment recently lost one if its most beautiful minds – composer, James Horner. The Oscar-winner and musical magician scored timeless classics such as Titanic, Appolo 13, Avatar, Glory and many more. His music will endure the test of time….but will yours?
Music is a powerful tool that can be used to connect your video with your audience. However, often times marketers underestimate the value of a good soundtrack, leaving out a huge opportunity to enhance their video. Want to know how to strike the right chord with your soundtrack? Here are some tips to make your choice easier:
Your soundtrack will set the overall mood of your video. So consider things like the genre, pacing, and instrumentation of your music track. Sometimes a great way to emphasize an image or a message is to actually pull out the music for a moment and then re-introduce it after a couple of seconds of silence. If you want to use a song with lyrics, make sure the lyrics are a meaningful addition to the message of your video. If you have a voice-over in your video, however, a song with lyrics can be detrimental. Pay attention to, and respect copyrights. Check the licenses of your soundtrack, whether you are buying it or using it from the public domain.
These tips will help you choose the right soundtrack. Don’t forget to have fun along the way! And remember, the Internet is a crowded place. Start engaging your audience with video.
